William Moorcroft Macintyre Aurelian Flared Vase

For sale is this wonderful and very original condition Macintyre Aurelian vase by the famous William Moorcroft. The shape of this vase is absolutely stunning and at 20cm tall is a smaller vase with big character. The colours and gilding are in very fine, time warp condition and it is clear this vase was very well preserved in a safe cabinet! With red ragged poppies surrounded by ornate blue and gold gilding on a blue white background, the quality of this piece shines. To the top and bottom borders, we have segmented patterns of Japanese-style blue scales and then gilding with red foliage and flowers.

In completely original condition, the vase has the James MacIntyre Burslem England stamp together with the Reg No. 314901. William Moorcroft did not sign Aurelian Ware so this is consistent with other pieces made by him. It dates to approximately 1898. For any serious Moorcroft collectors, owning a stunning piece of Aurelian Ware is a must for your collection. This piece will certainly delight you as it has done me!
